Today is: Stardate _Earthdate _Sim Year 2384
The year is 2384. The Federation and her Allies are still recovering from the devestation that resulted from the Dominion War. Starfleet has been undertaking a massive rebuilding program as it attempts to fulfill its secondary purpose of defense while remaining true to its original charge, exploration.
As one of Starfleet's newest vessels, the USS Tethys is out to make a name for herself in the pages of Starfleet history. Come join her as she embarks on the core endeavour to every Starfleet vessel's being..."to go where no one has gone before."
My name is Commander Iluvar, Starfleet’s foremost expert on the region known as the Briar Patch and commanding officer of the newly commissioned USS Tethys. Having been the only outsider to spend more than a few days on the surface of the Ba’ku planet, I have a somewhat unique perspective of the world around me. My crew has been assembled from the various reaches of Starfleet, including a Klingon surgeon struggling to come to terms with his heritage, a young helmsman with a troubled past, and a first officer bent on pushing the line to its extreme. This diverse group of individuals has come together with the intent of carrying this ship to glory.
Now the question becomes, are you up to the challenge of joining them in that goal? Do you have what it takes to blaze new trails, brave the unknown, and face the hidden secrets of the “final frontier”? If so, then we’d love to have you join us as we carry on Starfleet’s mission and have an interesting and fun-filled ride along the way.

The newly comissioned USS Tethys has been completed its first assignment, and has returned to Starbase 165 per Starfleet orders to be reassigned. While at the Starbase, Commander Iluvar is summoned to a meeting with the station commander, Admiral Robertson. A marine detachment under the command of Major Serafina Palacios was brought aboard while Lt. Earlond departed on a secretive mission of his own.
The USS Tethys departed Starbase 165 ahead of schedule following a classified meeting between Commander Iluvar and station commander, Admiral Robertson (NPC). On course for Sierra 129, their goal, though unknown to the crew, is to discover what happened to the Nova-class USS Bermes.
Complicating the matter, the Argo transport was retrieved some time after departins SB165. Lt. Earlond had used the vessel as part of a top secret mission from some unknown organization within Starfleet. This mission resulted in the death of Ensign Cheron (NPC) and the serious injury of Ensign Banks. Because of this, Mr. Dresrock, suspected in the attack on Ensign Banks and the death of Ensign Cheron (NPC), has been placed in the brig. Furthermore, Lt. Earlond has been stripped of rank and privlage and confined to the brig as well for his actions. Ensign Banks is currently recovering under the care of the EMH. Cmdr. Iluvar requested that Lt. T'Laura Ramsey conduct full psych evals on both Mr. Dresrock and Mr. Earlond.
While the psych evals are taking place, Iluvar has requested that an engineering team search the Argo for any evidence as to what transpired during Earlond's away mission. Meanwhile, the EMH is getting ready to wake poor Ensign Banks and has requested the presence of Commander Iluvar for that event.
As the Tethys races towards Sierra-129, things are not as calm as they appear to be. Subcommander Volaris (NPC) is causing trouble in Main Engineering regarding his cloaking device. Long-range sensors have located Sierra-129, but the readings are quite erratic. With Iluvar bogged down dealing with the mission and the ongoing investigation, command duties have settled on Lt. Cmdr. Knight and Lt. Dancer.
