Welcome to the Simm

Welcome aboard the USS Tethys. Please, come in and have a seat…I don’t bite. Perhaps I could offer you something to drink? Maybe you have some questions that need answering. If so, you’ve come to the right place.

I am Rear Admiral Iluvar, commanding officer of the USS Tethys. Whether you are fresh out of the Academy or a good, seasoned officer, I’m happy to have you aboard. The Tethys is a fine ship and her crew equally talented. We would be happy to count you among our number. She may not have the splendor and glory of the name Enterprise, but our job out here is just as important.

Starfleet’s goal is to explore the unknown and make contact with new species. We’re here to further that goal and expand our horizons ever outward. Unfortunately, history has taught us that not every race we meet will be kind and welcoming. There may come a time when we need to trade our tricorders for hand phasers, but we always know where to draw the line.

I invite you to take a look at our mission logs and determine for yourself if this is a posting you are willing to accept. We’re always happy to welcome another into the fold. If you find that you are certain this is the job for you, go ahead and fill out that application…you’ll be glad you did.
